Katie and Joe got married at The Venue Barkisland, a regular venue for me, which I am not mad about! The ceremony was a legal ceremony held in the beautiful ‘spinning room’ of this old mill, and the reception took place the much larger ‘Bowers room’. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading by a friend, a really lovely addition to the service. The Venue Barkisland is one of the top 10 places to have a wedding in Yorkshire – it has such a vibrant atmosphere, and offers a sister hotel so guests don’t have to travel home! There are so many industrial buildings on the grounds that are perfect for cool photo opportunities. Weddings at The Venue Barkisland are always brilliant, because it’s always so relaxed & the staff are there making sure everything is running smooth.
